Below is a description of OZOcar pricing and pricing policies. Keep in mind, we're here to help. Contact us with any questions, anytime.

I.  BASIC SEDAN PRICING

OZOcar prices, for basic sedan service, are made up of the following charges:

  •                    Base Fare, plus

                   Additional Optional Charges (if applicable), plus

                   Service Charge, plus

                   Sales Tax, plus

                   NYS Worker's Compensation Charge

 

Base Fare

OZOcar base fares are calculated according to pick-up and drop-off location ("zone-to-zone" pricing).  Our base fares are published in a Rate Book, which is available to myOZO account holders upon request.  The base fares are fixed, but may be changed from time to time at OZOcar's sole discretion, without notice.  Non-account holders may request fare quotes from info@ozocar.com.  Our Sample Base Fare Sheet, which shows examples of base rates to and from frequently traveled locations, is located here.

 

Additional Optional Charges

OZOcar charges for (i) additional stops, (ii) waiting time, (iii) tolls, (iv) parking, (v) package delivery, and for (vi) picking-up or dropping-off at certain special venues.  You may also choose to (vii) tip your driver.  

 

(i)  Additional Stops

A stop enroute for coffee, newspaper or such to the final destination for (5) minutes or less is considered a courtesy stop and will not be charged.  Any other stop, including a pick-up or drop off, at the location other than the final destination is considered a chargeable stop.

 

 

                                               i.     Trips Remaining In Manhattan:

1.     Stops in the same zone, or enroute:  $10.00 per stop

2.     Stops not enroute: Priced zone to zone per stop.

                                   

                                              ii.     Stops in Manhattan for Trips going to outer boroughs or out of town:

1.     Stops enroute:  $20.00 first stop, $15.00 for each additional stop.

2.     Stops not enroute:  Priced zone to zone per stop.

                                            iii.     Stops in Outer Boroughs:

1.     Stops in the same zipcode:  $15.00 per stop

2.     Stops in touching zipcodes, enroute: $20.00 per stop.

3.     All other stops:  Priced zone to zone per stop.

                                            iv.     Out of Town Stops: (furthest town is full price)

1.     Stops enroute in different towns:  Half Price of Town Stop per stop. 

2.     Stop in the same town:  $20.00 per stop.

 

(ii)  Waiting Time

Waiting time is charged at $48.00 per hour ($.80 per minute) and calculated to the nearest minute. We will extend a (5) minute grace period for all advance orders over the scheduled pick-up time and on all stops before waiting time is charged.  For ASAP calls, a 10 minute grace period will apply.  For waiting time related to airport pick-ups, please see Airport Pick-up Procedures.

 

(iii)  Tolls

The driver will determine the safest and most efficient route to your destination.  In some cases, this may result in taking a toll route over a non-toll route.  Tolls for identical trips may vary based upon the route taken.  Passengers are responsible for any toll charges incurred during a trip.  Round trip tolls will be charged on trips where the driver cannot return to Manhattan without paying a toll.  The driver will inform you of all tolls upon the completion of the trip and they will be added to bill.  The published price for tolls will be charged rather than the EZ-Pass rates.

 

(iv)  Parking

Passengers will be charged at cost for parking, if applicable.

 

(v)  Packages

 $8.00 per delivery, plus base rate and all applicable additional charges described here.

 

(vi)  Special Venue

A $10.00 surcharge will be charged to pick-ups and drop-offs at the following venues:

Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, National Tennis Center, Meadowland Sports Complex,

Randell’s Island, Riker’s Island, Ward’s Island and Chelsea Piers Sports Complex.

 

(vii)  Gratuity

Driver gratuity is at the passenger's discretion.  


Service Charge

A $3.00 service charge will be applied to each trip.

 

Sales Tax

All trips are subject to New York State and county sales taxes (if the trip originates and ends in New York State).  Trips that originate and end in New Jersey are subject to New Jersey state sales tax.  If you would like more information about sales tax rates, please contact us.

 

New York State Worker's Compensation Charge

All trips are subject to a 2.0 percent state mandated Worker’s Compensation charge.  The 2.0 percent is calculated from the total cost of the trip (excluding sales tax).


 

II.  SPECIAL REQUEST PRICING

 

SUV Requests

If an SUV is requested, the following rates will be charged:  Base Fare, plus $30.00, plus 20.0% gratuity (based on the base rate), plus any additional charges, not including tolls and state mandated charges) 

 

Car and Chauffeur by the Hour ("Time Call")

OZOcar offers hourly pricing at a rate of $50.00 per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours. Trips are limited to the five boroughs of New York City only (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island).  

 

Round Trips

For round-trips in Manhattan that remain in the same pricing zone:  zone-to-zone price, plus $10.00.  Example: A trip originating in M1, going to an M1 address and               returning to M1, would be $22.00, plus $10.00.

 

For round-trips crossing pricing zones:  Zone-to-zone price for outbound and return.  Example:  M1 to M5 round-trip is $26.00 plus $26.00 = $52.00.

 

For round-trips going out-of-town:  If the pick-up location is in New York City, then the ride is priced full price one way, plus ½ price for return, plus applicable waiting             time and any additional charges.  If the pick-up location is outside of New York City, then the ride is priced full-price going there and full-price return, plus applicable             waiting time and any additional charges. 

 

III.  CANCELLATION, NO-SHOW AND ORDER MODIFICATION POLICIES

a.     To avoid cancellation charges, orders must be canceled by the following times:

 

      i.     For Manhattan pick-ups: 30 minutes before reservation time

     ii.     For Outer Borough pick-ups:  60 minutes before reservation time

    iii.     For Airport Pick-ups:  60 minutes before reservation time

    iv.     For Out-of-Town Pick-ups and other special requests: Three (3) hours before

             reservation time.

 

b.  A car not needed after it is dispatched is considered a “no-show.”  OZOcar will hold

the car on location for a maximum of 30 minutes, while we attempt to locate the

passenger.  If a passenger cannot be located, the car will be released after 30 minutes,

and the cancellation charges will apply (set forth below).

 

c.   No-shows and orders not cancelled in time, will be charged the following base rates 

(service charge and taxes apply):

      i.     For Manhattan Pick-ups:  $24.00 or Waiting Time, whichever is greater.

     ii.     For Outer Borough Pick-ups:  Cost of returning to Manhattan.

    iii.     For Airport Pick-ups:  Cost of returning to Manhattan

    iv.     For Out of Town Pick-ups:  Cost of returning to Manhattan

 

IV.  AIRPORT PICK-UP PRICING AND PROCEDURES

 

a.     Airport Prices:  (To and From Manhattan)

          LaGuardia Airport:  $55.00

          JFK:  $70.00

          Newark:  $70.00

          Teterboro:  $85.00

          Westchester:  $105.00

 

b.     OZOcar will meet passengers inside the Arrivals terminal at baggage claim or outside customs, unless otherwise instructed.  There is no additional charge for the

        “meet and greet” service, but parking charges will apply.  If you wish to have your car and driver meet you curbside, outside the Arrivals terminal, please request an

        “outside” pick-up.  Please be aware that vehicles are not permitted to stop and wait at the curb.  If you do not see your driver, he may be circling the terminal. 

 

c.      OZOcar checks flight arrival information up until the time the vehicle is dispatched (generally 45 minutes before scheduled arrival and/or delayed arrival time). 

         Passengers are responsible for waiting time for any delays that are unforeseen or that occur after that time.

 

d.     To reduce waiting time associated with airport pickups, we recommend requesting at the time of booking, that the pick-up time occur “x” minutes after arrival time. 

For example, if the plane is scheduled to arrive at the gate at 1pm, you may wish for the order time to be 30 minutes after arrival time.
